Beach School FAQs
How often do you do Beach School?
We visit the beach every week and spend approximately 5 hours at Beach School (including travel).
Do all children have the opportunity?
Yes, every child experiences Beach School.
How do you get to Beach School?
We travel on our mini buses.
What coastline do you travel too?
We love to experience all of our wonderful coastlines that Northumberland have to offer, from Cresswell to Druridge, Newbiggin and Blyth, then Seaton Sluice, Whitley Bay and Cullercoats to name a few. We really do have the BEST coastlines in England.
What do we need for our day at the beach?
Please check our seasonal kit list. We provide the bucket and spades.
Do you have a base at Beach School?
We pack our tarps, blankets and windbreakers and set-up camp on a none crowded area and after a full Risk Assessment.
What do we eat at Beach School?
We provide a full nutritional packed lunch, with snacks and water throughout. All dietary requirements are met and sometimes the occasional treat - you can’t always go to the beach without treating everyone to ice cream or a lolly ;)
Do you help and protect the coastline?
We will always fight for a cleaner, better-protected and healthier ocean. Educating our children from an early age will support the recover of our oceans and combat the climate crisis.
