What age are Woodland Adventures for?

Woodland adventures are for children aged between 1 to 13. We do sessions for families to unwind and rewild at the weekend and a drop off session for those older children that wish to experience and learn some new skills.

When and how often are the sessions?

We run early evening sessions throughout the term during weekdays, Saturday sessions throughout the year and of course holidays. Please get in touch or subscribe to our newsletter for save the dates, you won't want to miss these adventures!!

How do I book a session?

Please get in touch via the enquiry form or email and register your interest, and we'll send you a booking form when dates are available. Don't forget to subscribe to our mailing list to stay in touch about all our events!

What happens when the weather is bad?

A little bad weather never stops us and as long as you're children are dressed for a muddy or wet adventure, they will have an unforgettable time. Always pack waterproofs and for the adverse weather conditions, decisions would be made on the day of event.

Do we need to bring a packed lunch?

We always suggest you bringing a healthy snack and water to keep you energised and hydrated. Details for our full day Woodland Adventures are provided once your booking is confirmed. We do also encourage a picnic in the park to explore more of our beautiful surroundings when the session has finished.

Where do we meet at Plessey Woods Country Park?

We meet outside Plessey Woods Visitor's Centre, next to the main entrance (not the park side).

Is it free car parking?

Car parking charges are enforced by Northumberland County Council at Plessey Woods. Up to two hours, the charge is £1.60. Please be advised, car park wardens do monitor this daily.

What is the maximum children you can make on a booking?

Always book for just your family, allowing as many people to experience the adventures too.

Can we leave our children?

Yes, for children over the age of 5 attending drop off sessions. However, family sessions are for all the family to experience together so we don't offer a childcare service for those.

If the session is cancelled do we get a refund?

If the session is cancelled by us, we'll offer you a refund or extend the session to another date. If you need to cancel less than 48 hours of the session, a refund will not be issued. Please get in touch if you need to discuss your booking further. All booking information and policies are available when your event is confirmed.
